What is particularly lovely about this slim volume is that in a few, relatively brief moments, Flewelling captures the essence of her beloved characters and makes these important, liminal moments in their lives (back before they were the people they are “today”) completely believable. IMHO, “Traitor's Moon” is the book that doesn' t fit.
